Superb 23 jewel Hamilton 950 Railroad Watch. White GF Case

A stunning top of the range Railroad watch made by Hamilton Watch Co. in 1927.
 
The all Nickel plate movement has 23 jewels, a fully capped Swiss Lever escapement with double roller, Sapphire pallets, Gold timing screws and a Reed micro-regulator. The watch also has Gold (alloy) train wheels and a fully jewelled motor barrel. Finished with a lovely damaskened pattern, gold jewel settings and gilt inlaid script this was state of the art at the time and didn't get better than this. This watch is running perfectly and is keeping excellent time, the movement is clean and in very good cosmetic condition.
The watch is stem wind and lever set (withdraw the small lever by the 1 and rotate the crown to set the time) both functions working smoothly.
The 3 piece 14K white gold filled case is in beautiful condition with just very light scratching to betray it's age. No dents, dings, heavy abrasion or evident gold loss, and both covers remove and replace easily, closing down square and tight. The pendant, crown and bow are all in very good order. A very smart case!
The watch has an original and unmarked white enamel dial, it's in excellent shape.
The blued steel heavy spade style hands are also in excellent condition as is the mineral glass crystal.
Overall a splendid example of this top grade railroader, ready to go back to work..
