Hamilton 992B railroad. Late model in Stainless steel case.
Superb late model Hamilton 992B railroad watch in stainless steel case, made in 1967 and all original.
Beautiful 21 jewel movement with fully capped Swiss lever escapement, Sapphire pallets, double roller, "Elinvar" white metal hairspring, solid mono-metal balance wheel with gold timing screws, and a sprung micro-regulator. State of the art when it was made and in almost new condition today. The watch has just been fully serviced and is running strong in all positions whilst keeping excellent time.
The watch is crown wind and lever set. (withdraw the small lever by the 1 and rotate the crown to set the time).
Original factory fitted stainless steel case with screw on/off covers is in super condition with no dents or dings and almost no signs of general wear. The covers screw on and off easily and both close down square and tight, lovely smart case!
Original malamine dial is in excellent condition with just the faintest of hairlines from the centre to the 1, visible in the photos but not noticeable to the naked eye. Very good set of black enamelled heavy spade style hands under a brand new acrylic crystal.
Overall a superb railroad watch in fabulous condition, an ideal daily user!
